Spring is the time for renewal and growth. This is also true for the League.

The Provisional dinner was held at the Histon Garden on March 2nd with twelve provisionals in attendance. I want to thank Terri Walker and Sarah Starkey for all of their hard work in making the evening a success. The next couple of months will be very busy for the League. We have our traditional Easter Egg Hunt at the Clarksburg/Harrison Public Library on March 20th. The provisional members will be hard at work filling eggs and making this event special for the children in this community. The Women of Enduring Sprirt Awards Luncheon will be held on April 23rd at the Bridgeport Conference Center. We are thrilled that Natalie Tennant will be our guest speaker for this event. How exviting it will be to announce this year's Woman of Enduring Spirit. This will be a celebration you won't want to miss!! On May 2nd we will continue with our rich history of the Tea at Past President Susie Pastorik's house. Please mark your calendars for these events. Your continued support is essential for their success.

At the Provisional dinner i read a quote by Ed Cole. "There is a price to pay to grow....commitment is the price."

I think that holds true for anything in life. If you want your career, marriage, friendships or even an organization to grow a commitment is needed. By becoming involved in the League members build relationships and feel a sense of community. This is how the commitment to the League begins and in time grows.

So I invite not only our new provisional members but all members to renew your commitment to the League so our organization continues to grow.
